A closer look at
how you move.

Chiropractic care with attention to your spine, joints, posture, and everyday movement.

Discomfort can change how you sit at work, enjoy a walk, or keep up with family life. A chiropractic evaluation starts with understanding what you are experiencing and examining the relevant musculoskeletal findings.

The starting point

Your concerns.
A careful examination.

An evaluation includes a discussion of your symptoms, relevant health history, and the activities affected. Dr. Hickman considers your spinal and musculoskeletal condition to determine whether chiropractic care fits your needs.

Depending on your concerns, the examination may include observations of posture, joint motion, and movement. Dr. Hickman explains which findings are relevant and what additional evaluation, if any, is appropriate.

Not every concern calls for an adjustment. Recommendations follow the examination and may include care in the practice, guidance for home, or referral to another healthcare professional.

What brings people in

Everyday movement.
Individual concerns.

These are reasons to discuss a chiropractic evaluation. Your examination determines whether care here is appropriate.

Back & neck discomfort

Discuss where you feel discomfort, when it began, and the movements or positions that affect it.

Joint stiffness & mobility

Talk through limitations that affect turning, reaching, walking, or other daily activities.

Posture & daily demands

Consider how your work setup, activities, and routines relate to your musculoskeletal concerns.

Questions about care

Know what
to expect.

Will I need X-rays?

On-site digital X-rays are available when clinically appropriate. Dr. Hickman will discuss whether imaging is indicated for your situation; it is not a requirement for every person.

Is care available for children?

The practice welcomes children and adults. A child’s evaluation and recommendations should reflect their age, health history, and chiropractic needs. Please call to discuss your child’s situation and what to expect.

How many visits will I need?

Recommendations depend on your examination and care goals. Ask Dr. Hickman how progress will be reviewed and when recommendations may change. The website cannot predict a number of visits or a particular outcome.

How does movement fit with chiropractic care?

When appropriate to your findings, selected exercises or activities may be discussed alongside chiropractic care. Learn about movement and the functional-health approach.
